Company History

Headway Guitars were first created in the 1970s in Matsomuto, Japan. This region has been known for some of Japan`s most famous woodworkers and luthiers. Although the company went through a variety of changes, Headway Guitars are still handmade and are designed with the world`s players in mind. Headway Guitars has been training some of Japan`s best luthiers and has been supplying the Japanese retail market with extraordinary acoustic guitars. Finally, in 2008, with almost a decade of absolutely stable production & supply to the best acoustic shops and players in Japan, Headway Guitars is introducing its acoustic instruments to the United States and European markets.
